This was 4th grade class visit/field trip....the "guides" were outstanding...really knew how to handle the kids and explain the important aspects of the museum.
Visiting this historic site is a must for anyone interested in Hawaiian history. The docent is extremely knowledgable and shares many historic tidbits-bits not found in history books. They also have a great gift shop.
I went to see the oldest standing building in Honolulu. My interest in 19th century American history led me there. The young man who gave us the tour was superb. He really knew his stuff. The buildings are in remarkable shape built out of coral with a brick facade. I gained a great deal of insight on the missionaries and the internal politics.
