Pīʻāpā Luxury Throw

Description

The Hawaiian Mission Houses Gift Shop has partnered with NOHO Home to create the Pīʻāpā collection.  The floral motif of the throw was inspired by traditional Hawaiian quilt patterns and is a sophisticated nod to the art of quilting introduced by the missionaries in the 19th century.  A stylized design of the Hawaiian alphabet (the pīʻāpā) can be seen repeated throughout the background.  The iconic white coral and wooden facades of the Mission homes against the blue Hawaiian sky influenced the colors in this design.
